How to Move a Website to Crypto Hosting

Migrate an existing site to Afiahost: back up, transfer files and databases, move email, update nameservers, verify SSL.

01

Back up everything first

Before touching DNS, take a full backup of your current host: site files via FTP or file manager, databases via phpMyAdmin, and email if your mail lives on the old server. A migration without a rollback point is how sites go down for a day instead of an hour.

02

Order your Afiahost plan and pay with crypto

Choose the plan that fits your traffic, register or transfer your domain during checkout, and settle the invoice with BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH or LTC. Provisioning delivers cPanel credentials and nameservers within minutes of payment confirmation.

03

Transfer files and databases

Upload the site files to public_html, import databases through phpMyAdmin, and update application config files (database host, user, name) with the credentials from your welcome email. WordPress users can use a migration plugin; everything else moves cleanly over FTP or the file manager.

04

Update nameservers and verify SSL

Point your domain's nameservers at the Afiahost pair from your welcome email and allow up to 24–48 hours for propagation (usually much faster). Once the domain resolves, the free SSL certificate is issued automatically — confirm the padlock loads over HTTPS before flipping mail.

05

Move email, then decommission the old host

Migrate mailboxes last, either by re-creating accounts in cPanel or by fetching old mail over POP3 into the new accounts. Once everything is verified — site live, forms sending, cron jobs running, mail flowing — cancel the old hosting account. Keep your old backup archive for at least a month.

Ready to try it?

Pick a plan, choose your currency and pay the invoice from your wallet — your cPanel details arrive as soon as the payment confirms.
